What is a Goth?
Goth is basically a Musical Subculture which developed out of the British Punk scene in the late 70s. Includes band like "Sex Gang Children", "Bauhaus", "Specimen", "Siouxsie and the Banshees", "Joy Division".
In essence, a Goth is someone who has a deep interest in and listens to Gothic Music.
The Hair, the Make-up, and the Overall Look of a Goth are all A PART of what it means to be Goth, but by themselves they do not define Goth.
A nerd, a geek, a weirdo, a Banglah, a Jap, a Emo person, a fat woman, a skinny man, a handicap... could be Goths! (: Because the point of being Goth, is not defined by how you look, but by the music you listen to -- A Shared Interest in Art, Literature, Theatre in which explores Dark/Gothic themes in the Gothic Subculture.
So before you judge that someone is a Geek, think again... He/She might be a GOTH!!
