Melbourne Trip 08-13 Dec 08

Hello all, I am back!!

Departure flight that day was at night, 7hours flight there. Watched Beverly Hills Chihuahua on the plane! Due to time zones difference, reached Melbourne on a brand new day (09 Dec). Weather was pretty cold though in pics it may look like a perfect weather, but no no pictures are deceiving!

Day 2:

Alighted at Queen Victoria market for breakfast.
It's like a market that sells EVERYTHING. Sweets, Chinese paintings, clothes, pet stuff, kids toys, wool stuff .... ... You named it all! It's a very big market prolly the size of Chung Cheng?

Sights from the bus.
This is their public transport -- a Tram. But funnily it's in the centre of a road so if you wanto hop on it, you'll have to cross the traffic light to mid-road then wait in the middle of the road!

Christmas decorations up! Wonder how's Orchard Road like now.

St. Patrick's Cathedral (a very nice place:)
Oh my grandma just love flowers a lot.

Shrine of Remembrance. A place to remember those who died in War.

See how short my cousin is! HA HA

Run !!! There's fire! Lol -.-

In there it somewhat looks like Tomb Raider show.
View of Melbourne City from there.

Farmstay! They even prepared a cart for our luggages! (:

When we arrived this is what we saw. Disappointing isn't it?

But no, it's a cosy and big place! Clean as well. It's rated 4-star and even better than some hotels!

A fire place to get us warm. We're all freaking cold before we arrived ok!

The owner of the house Sue made us some food for lunch! Love-filled lunch!

After lunch we explore the farm!
Chickens + Roosters

Quill

They say this is a peach, but I ain't sure.

The three columns there are self-made fertilisers. (:
Stage 1, 2 and 3!

Hello Emu. They're stupid trust me. See the one on the left, it wanto go thru and it thinks it can squeeze thru that fence. Maybe it doesn't know it has got a BIG FAT BUTT.!!

Al packer! It's cute ok! One al packer itself costs the farmer $25,000 !!

Watch to know who's the murderer! ;D

Some veges plantation.

Duckling (not ugly)

Wool. Loads of them! Hundreds of kgs!

Bla bla black sheep have you any wool?
Yes sir yes sir THREE BAGS FULL !!

Poor thing a dead rabbit.
To farmers rabbits are useless they only harm their crops!

Food for the sheeps. This farm has got 400+ sheeps! And a very big land! Probably half of Bishan or more!

Goodbye farmers Sue & Steven, byeeeeeeeeee.... (:

Day 3:

Ballarat Wildlife Park

Madel, here's a pictorial Kangaroo for you!! :DDD
Koala Bear, ain't they cute? (:

Feeding the Kangaroos!

Black swans

An albino wallaby.

Red kangaroos, they're larger.

Nice suntan position!

Some bird.

(stupid) Emu again

Wombat, they bite fingers.

Great Ocean Road (Fort Campbell)
Nice scenic views right? People suntan here! It's like their Sentosa!

Oh no some family got attacked by seagulls cuz once you feed them, they glued to you!

This is what we call the London Bridge (I'm not lying).
It's a landform broken away and looks like a bridge!

Loch Ard Gorge.
A shipwretch site.

Helicopter ride that costs $65 per person for 8mins. But I would say it's worth it! (:

I took a video the moment it starts.

Views up there.

My cousin Thomas(es) ! HA HA

Shit the height difference. :( :( :(

Day 4:

We took a ferry to Peninsula. The tour bus could go into the ferry as well. (:

Look closely and you can see that the sea gull has got vivid fake-looking eyes!

Sunny Ridge Strawberry farm.

Pick your own box of strawberries! :D

Learn from me: choose only the really red ones!
Ha ha I only picked 7! Cuz I was real choosy.

Strawberry Ice Cream

Ashcombe Maze

Lavender Garden!

The two types of lavender!

Lazy houseflys hopping onto my uncle waiting for him to walk them to their destination!

The Rose Garden! It's not as easy as it looks like!

Chocolate Factory

Penguin Reserve!
This sign is serious! The penguin are real small.

There's no pics on the penguins as photos are not allowed. Because if their eyes are hurt by the flash lights then when they go out to sea they will easily be eaten by dolphins. But anyway they are really small about 30cm tall only. There's 1000+ here. They come up shore only when sun sets. And since it's summer, the sun sets at 8.50pm that day!!! They come up shore in groups of 30 or so and walked a distance of like 200m or more to their homes. Their babies are waiting for them at home to be fed. When some penguins reached home, some babies whose parents have yet to become worried and they really cry like babies. Very sad okay. :( :( And I heard some peguins will never some home cuz they're eaten up. Oh no that's terrible. I feel sad for the babies.

On the 2hours ride back to hotel, we watched Casino Royale on the bus. (:

Day 5:

Train ride!

Little yellow flowers on the way.
And you know what: our train broke down halfway thru!
And we have to fing wait for the next train to push us back!

Bird feeding

Ha ha ha seee that driver has got a bird on his head !!
After that went back to DFO (a shopping malls with Direct Factory outlets). A Great place to shop but I didn't buy much. Wasn't in my shopping mood. Lol
After hours of shopping there, we went back to our hotel area cuz it's somewhat like Orchard road there. Nice shopping. (: To me it's better than Taiwan.

Day 6 was shopping as well before heading to Airport.
